Explanation Of Each District:


Pine County
Country/forest area. A lot of farms and country homes, and some holiday beach homes
on the coast. This area has the nicest beaches in Santa Lina which is why its so popular
with celebrities and rich people.


Leighton Oaks
Rich residental area with a lot of greenery. A lot of film directors, actors, business owners,
etc live here. Anaksha lives in the Southern end of Leighton Oaks. Her current home is
located right between Leighton Oaks, Cipher Town and Luxor Valley.


Cipher Town
A cyberpunk area full of computer geeks, gamers, sci-fi lovers, and anime fans.
This district can only be described as a "Ghost In The Shell/Bladerunner" theme park - you
have to see it to believe it! This area also has its fair share of dangerous cyber criminals
and gangs


Neon City
The proud, bright, glowing core and centre-piece of the whole city. (Kind of like a futuristic, larger,
taller version of London's Piccadilly Circus). A heaven for shoppers, designer labels and even tourism.
Has the least amount of crime when compared to the other districts, but not by a huge amount.
All the major administrative buildings are located here too (e.g: City Hall, SLPD, etc).
Santa Lina started here. This has always been the main area of commerce (hence the river which
allows access to the rest of the world). It was the main port of call until the West Docklands were
built to accomodate the rising demand for shipping lines.


Luxor Valley
A mini Las Vegas full of casinos, magic shows, entertainment, upmarket stripclubs, etc.
Luxor Valley and Neon City remain popular tourist attractions, and is the perfect place to
escape the grittiness of the rest of the city.


Whitehall
Financial/legal/business HQ district of Santa Lina. This is where all the "suits" hang out.


Hells Cats
This is Santa Lina's famous sleaze central. Full of bars, strip clubs, small blackstreet
casinos and nightclubs. A lot of the levels in the first game were based here.


West Docklands
Lots of docks along the river, industrial businesses, sea food businesses and even a
few criminal hideouts. Its a lonely place where the underground crime lords sometimes
conduct business (and even "end" business partnerships)


Rouge Town
Large Red light district. Fairfax point is the central hub of it all
Prostitution is perfectly legal in Santa Lina. However, openly soliciting for
kerb crawlers is only permitted in Rouge Town.


Thorns Row
A very large middle class residential area. This is where Anaksha lived during the
events in the first game (Anaksha Female Assassin) in a rented apartment. Her foster
family also lives in this district.


La Madre
A mainly poor/working class residential area. Its called La Madre because of the
founding "Mother" who used to look after the poor in the area, many years ago.
A lot of this area is made up of ghetto housing.


San Pietro
Religious district.
Has a stream running through it known as Lagrime Di San Pietro (Tears Of St. Peter).
There's a lot of whacko cults resident here too, along with a lot of extremist religious types.

I'll use these to make some level ideas for you.

This is the topic I've been waiting for! Not necessarily because I'm planning to write a fanfic (I'd feel a bit guilty about fanficing when I have my own stuff to work on, but you never know), but just because as a fan I like getting a feel of Anaksha's world Thanks Arif!

So where does Anaksha live?

I love the way you've planned the city sections. Clearly the settlement began at the coast and then expanded inland, which fits perfectly the prophecy of the three beasts arising from the sea.

You're pretty much on track. It actually began in Neon City, which served as a central commerce hub for all the farming which took place in the fertile lands to the North. The river that runs through Neon City was an excellent route for worldwide commerce. Due to the rapid growth of the city (and certain political tensions with other nations) the West Docklands were built to accommodate the vast amounts of sea trade/travel (and possible naval warfare).

Thanks for the updated info! This sounds like a stylish neighbourhood I wonder what kind of neighbours she has; have you planned this? I'd guess that the neighbours aren't interested in knowing each other too well, otherwise it would be quite inconvenient for Anaksha.

Also, where does Edward live (ie. where did Anaksha live while growing up)? I'm guessing Pine County?

(PS: I look forward to seeing a Pyramid Cube cathedral built in San Pietro )

Is the option open to perhaps add in locations to Anaksha's world that do not distrupt the geography you have established? For example, let's say Pine County were to be the location of an exclusive outdoor hunting lodge, or perhaps a quiet fishing community?

I have been contemplating posting up a few pieces of fan fiction that, in my own small way, expand on Anaksha's world without wholly intruding on the world you've established.

Could you add more information about the city such as total population and demographics?

Working on that already. There'll be a few minor changes here and there to the borders but what you see here is pretty much final.

In Leighton Oaks? Is there any apartment buildings in there or it's just a suburban area with no tall buildings? I'm asking about this because I wrote a short story on the forum, without looking at this topic since Anaksha lives there?
